As a black man with a platform, I will not shy away from speaking on social issues close to my heart. We have a responsibility to make our society a better place for future generations.
For the past 20 minutes, I have been struggling with what to write. I know what I want to write, but I wonder, will my words have enough weight to convey the sadness that I feel? Can my words capture the weight of the anguish in people’s hearts? Can I do justice to the fear and uncertainty millions of black people feel every time they interact with the police? I don’t know if I can, but I will try. Every fire has a spark. Those little signs that raise the hairs on the back of your neck, warnin
